More Progress

March 1, 2007 – 8:48 amThe night before last I hit level 65. I did this in the “Bone Wastes” in Terrokar in the Outlands. What I have found interesting about the Outlands so far is that as I “progress” from area to area, I actually find each new area easier. I started in Hellfire Peninsula, whereupon I met death several times, often with a Fel Reaver as the party making the introductions. When I moved on to Zangarmarsh many of the mobs where slightly higher level, but the grouping was nowhere near as densa, and there was a lot less in the way of random wandering mobs that could end up adding on to an existing fight.
Now that I am in Terrokar Forest, this seems even less dangerous to me. Perhaps it is because I am higher level now, but it really seems to me that the mobs are simply less densely packed, or don’t aggro as much. Any comments on this would be welcome.
Anyway, I am about 30 percent into level 65 now, and if I keep up this progress I may end up being the first member of my guild to make it to 70. There is only one character ahead of me, and the person playing also has two other high or fairly high toons that he plays, so I may just have the opportunity.
But wait…he doesn’t have kids. Damn! Oh well….I’ll keep pushing!

Oh hey, there you are - your registered account on my blog doesn’t have your blog linked, so I couldn’t remember where to go to make comments on your comments (other than my own blog). I think I can fix that on my site, I’m sure you don’t mind the linking?
Heh, yah that Fel Reaver is something else, isn’t he… some times I’d run the game with the sound way down because I was watching a movie or something, but I quickly learned that it’s better to put my earphones on and deal with the occasional noises that disrupt the movie noises… otherwise I don’t get enough warning to look around and run away with just the ground shaking.
Gratz on 65! I still haven’t budged from 61 (back to 100% rest now) … but my lowbies are getting advancement time and my cash stocks are doing well with the whole disenchant/sell shards thing.
So far the things I’ve bought through BottomScanner have re-sold for a decent rate - I picked up a few pairs of gloves that were sold for under 5g when I got them and re-sold for just under 20g, but yah, I tend to avoid the “buy for resale” items and actually put my configuration so that the profit has to be 10g to even show it just so I don’t have to pay a huge ball of attention when I’m buying things for disenchant.
But damn I wish I could play the market IRL the way I play it on the game… but then again, if I could make a bunch of money by picking flowers IRL, I’d do that too!

Yes, I think picking flowers would be a lot more pleasant than skinning animals or breaking rocks
And yes, I would love to have a link. Not sure why it did not link before, but maybe I simply forgot to add it. Happens a lot at my age!
