Made it!!

Well, a few days ago I finally made it to level 60! I feel “sort of” maxed out, but of course I am just dying to get started on my path to 70.

So what’s holding me back?

Well, for one, I want to get some better armour. That should be easy enough: a few runs through ZF with some friends, and I ought to have enough to buy some nice things.

More importantly, though, I wanted to get my profession skills up. I was mining and blacksmithing, but I recently traded in my blacksmithing to go for skinning. Reason? Well, the blacksmithing was holding me back, as I either needed to buy mats, or go mining for the ores that I could actually use. Much better, I thought to have two gathering professions where I can make some money. When I make my alts I can then afford to get whatever professions I want, as I will be able to afford them with no problems.

So the next step is to get both mining and skinning to a point where I can actually move forward in the Outlands. Specifically, I want to get to 300 in both. I am currently about 265 in mining, so not far to go there. Skinning I just managed to get to 192 in just my second day, so I am feeling good about my progress there.

So, with any luck, I will be in the Outlands by the end of the weekend!
